The Silver Serpent neclace

When Richard was about 11 years old, he decided to design himself a piece of jewelry.
He cut a serpent out of a sheet of silver and hung it from a chain he made himself. He then clasped it around his neck permanently, and it has never been removed since.
To Garriott, the silver serpent has always symbolized Lord British. When he left Origin, he kept not only the trademark, "Lord British", but also retained the rights to anything symbolizing LB, including the silver serpent.
Also, the possible logo of Richard Garriott's new company, Destination Games, has the Silver Serpent in it.

The Codex of Ultimate Wisdom

The Codex of Ultimate Wisdom is the sacred book of both humans of Britannia and the Gargoyles.
It is an ultimate source of information, everything can be found within the pages of this book.
When a Seeker comes to read the Codex it's always open from the page containing the inormation s/he is looking for.
One must be on a Sacred Quest to be able to reach the Codex.
Sacred Quest is obtained by meditating at a Britannian or Gargish Shrine.

The Codex was located in the Void. The Gargoyles looked at it with a convex lens.
When the hero (or the stranger) was finishing the Quest of the Avatar he descended into the dark Abyss and took the book.
This was also the first sign of the Gargish prophecy.
Later the Avatar learned about the Gargoyles, about their believes and about their prophecy and carved two lenses, convex for the Gargoyles and concave for the humans. Then he went to the Shrine of Codex in the Isle of the Avatar and casted the codex into the Ethereal Void. Then he gave the Gargoyles a convex lens and the humans a concave so that both could view the page of the Codex.

The Ankh of the Avatar

Ankh is an old Egyptian symbol of healing. An Ankh is a cross with an oval hole in the top.

The Ankh of the Avatar is made of gold. It is a neclace that protects it's wearer from evil.
